A heartwarming book for anyone who loves their chickens as pets, funny and occasionally sad but consistently loving towards these amazing birds. Recommended!.

A humorous look at chicken keeping and the inmates of the author’s chicken run. From the hen who hates laying eggs, to the cockerel who would like to, this is a coopful of quirky personalities. There’s the adventurous and the timid, the fights and the friendships. And like all good comedians, the chickens throw in a bit of pathos too. But that is sandwiched between dreadful table manners and some truly eccentric behaviour – even for chickens.
This was a labour of love. It consisted of observing my small flock of chickens and making notes of what they did to make me laugh so much. I then had to type up their stories while laughing all over again at their buffoonery!
